Some Information!… All this has been programmed using JavaScript, AJAX and PHP software, so it’s all browser based. The sequence can be programmed using blocks (actually html divisions) to specify the on/off points on a time scale for each individual track. This is then saved to a MySQL database and referenced to PLC output bits. The sequence can then be exported in statement list and pasted into the Step 7 networks. The program is based on a single counter and numerous comparators to remain in time with the music. Each minute of the tune is split into different program function blocks to increase the cycle time. The MP3 player is given an initial signal from one of the output bits at the start of the program and reset at the end. This is linked up to amplifiers and side speakers as shown! Siemens challenged Orange County Choppers (OCC) to build an all-electric chopper that showcases each industry that Siemens is involved with. The all-electric chopper features new and recycled materials, LED lighting by OSRAM SYLVANIA, and an on-board charger that can be plugged into any 110-volt outlet. The chopper has a range of 60 miles on a single charge, and a recharge time of 5 hours (1-2 with a charging station). It is the first all-electric bike built by OCC, and it promotes the message of sustainability and green technologies. The video takes a look at how OCC uses the AF-6080 Five-Axis Waterjet system and the Siemens SINUMERIK control to create some amazing 3D work for OCC choppers.
