Like most of us here in Canada and the United States are waiting for new devices, Research In Motion and SK Telecom just announced the release of the BlackBerry Storm 2 in the Korean market. Research In Motion from expanding into different market areas, it will almost certainly see a bigger line up of equipment at the end to hit those areas. BlackBerry Bold 9000 was released in 2009, SK Telecom and not quite well, the jury is still on the first and the touchscreen BlackBerry will be out. Full press release after the jump.

Samsung S7070 Diva – First Samsung Diva Phone
After announcing some time ago their new Diva range of female focused mobile phones, Samsung have now launched the first model from the collection. The new Samsung S7070 is the first of two announced models from the Samsung Diva series with the S5150 due for release soon.
The Samsung S7070 is a new touch screen phone that from the front may look like many of the manufacturers recent releases, however the detail lies on the reverse of the phone which has been designed with a new, ‘quilted’ patterned finish which really makes this new Samsung Diva phone stand out.
The second in the series, the Samsung S5150 also features this new design but this time it covers the entirety of the outside of this flip phone model, finished in a metallic silver the S5150 is the first clamshell design phone from Samsung in a long time. Getting back to the S7070, this new phone offers some great features at a budget price, the main touch screen measures a sizable 2.8 inches and Samsung have included their TouchWiz interface for easy menu navigation and touch control.
The Samsung Diva also offers a good quality 3.0 mega pixel camera with face detection and smile shot plus there is and expandable memory for storing your favourite photos. The Samsung S7070 also features Bluetooth technology for quick, wireless file transfer, a music player and web browser for entertainment on the move.
Samsung have released a huge amount of new and affordable touch screen phones alongside their high specification models to cater for most sized budgets, their most popular touch screen phone to date is without doubt the Samsung Tocco Lite which took over from the original Samsung Tocco (F480) edition but with a similar feature set. Competition against the new Samsung S7070 comes mainly from within the Samsung camp but there are a few models from other manufacturers that make for a good alternative, the LG Pop which is the upgrade to the hugely popular LG Cookie is a real contender whilst others include the Nokia 5230 and Nokia 5800.
The Samsung S7070 Diva has been initially release on Orange deals and is already free from just £15 per month line rental on the Orange Dolphin 15 tariff, this new handset is due for release on T-Mobile very soon with other network launches to follow.
Judging by the specification of this first Samsung Diva phone it may prove to be most popular as a Pay As You Go phone although no release date has been announced as yet, if you are looking for a very different looking and feeling mobile phone that stands out from the ‘norm’ then this very well could be the phone for you.
The Samsung Diva is the first phone from the new range of stylish fashion mobiles, the Samsung S5150 is due for release soon as the second model.
